Kalesnikoff Lumber is located in Thrums, BC, Canada about 9 miles north of Castlegar and 15 miles south of Nelson. Our site is about halfway between Calgary and Vancouver on Highway 3A and strategically located near the U.S./Canada border. Our close proximity to rail transportation and the Port of Vancouver, ideally position us to provide efficient and timely delivery of customized orders across Canada and internationally.
The Kootenay Wet-Belt, or interior wet belt as it is also known, is only found in the southeast corner of British Columbia on the slopes of the Columbia and Rocky Mountains. Moist conditions here result in ideal growing environment and produce dense fine grained fiber which is excellent for specialty wood products. Because of our prime location, Kalesnikoff Lumber is able to offer our international list of customers the exceptional benefit of the premium White Pine, Douglas Fir and Western Larch fiber found in this area.
